When to plant sweet corn
Sweet corn varieties differ in the soil temperature they need. Measure the seedbed and compare it with your packet instead of using one planting date or temperature for every variety.

Soil temperature is only one gate
Passing the temperature check does not guarantee emergence. Wet, compacted soil, seed condition, drought after planting and current weather can still change the result.
